The art of potential : a design-led exploration of developing sustainable modular furniture joints with a desktop 3D printer : an exegesis presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Masters of Design at Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand.
    (Massey University, 2014) Kunz, Raque
3D printing could revolutionize manufacturing and the way we live. This exciting new technology promises to put the power of on-demand manufacturing in every home, school and business. But, is it really a technology that anyone can use? Are the objects that it can make functional? What impact will a manufacturing increase of this magnitude have on the environment? This project explores the social relevance and functionality of desktop 3D printed objects and in cooperation with SCION (a New Zealand Crown Research Institute) seeks to develop new and more sustainable 3D printing materials.
