Item A redetermination of heats of formation of some compounds of biological interest : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Chemistry at Massey University(Massey University, 1978) Wilson, Shirley RuthThe energies of combustion of thoroughly dried samples of l-histidine, uracil and cytosine were measured at 298.15 K by oxygen-bomb combustion calorimetry. The enthalpies of formation for these compounds were redetermined. It appears that a ten-fold improvement in the accuracy of the results was obtained.
