dc.description.abstractThere has been a compulsory practical hands-on 300-level noise course in the environmental health (EH) programs at Massey University for over twenty years. Unlike most EH programmes in Australasia, Massey still considers environmental noise assessment as a key skill for trainee environmental health officers. Over the past 13 years that the author has been involved in this course, students have asked many questions, most have been easy to answer, while others have proved more challenging. This paper is a short collection of the more challenging questions and their answers, which should be of interest to noise assessment practitioners.
