dc.description.abstractThis thesis deals with studies which have as their origin the intention to investigate select aspects of the enzymology of flavonoid biosynthesis and which lead to the finding that a peroxidase-catalysed reaction is of central importance in the system under scrutiny. In the course of this Introduction, therefore, a brief background is developed in relation to not only flavonoids but also peroxidase-catalysed reactions.en
